Giving Back
S Lee Graphics
As an entrepreneur, I’m driven by a desire to create meaningful work that extends beyond my craft and makes a difference in the world. For the past 10 years, I've owned my own Marketing Consulting business called S Lee Graphics, doing all sorts of marketing work from web development and logo design to custom artwork and murals. Often times donating a new logo to a fellow entrepreneur looking to start their own business. I found that I loved helping others so much, that I made it part of my promise to myself.
Since my work is something I truly love and am passionate about, I’ve committed to donating a percentage of profits to causes I deeply believe in—such as local food pantries and animal rescues. For instance, after completing a mural for Mecha Noodles in Boston, MA, I chose to donate to Lifebridge North Shore, a local organization providing shelter and services for the homeless—a cause close to my heart during my time living in Salem, where I witnessed the daily struggles faced by those in need.
COMPASSION IN ACTION
One of my favorite recent moments was rescuing the Squirrel Triplets - three baby squirrels that had fallen from their nest and were being pecked at by birds. Eyes not open yet with their giant heads and tiny bodies, I wasn't sure that they'd survive, so I brought them home to at least have a peaceful end. To my surprise, all three pulled through on the first night!
After bottle feeding every three hours their first few weeks, it was an incredible experience to watch them finally start to thrive, enjoying learning what bananas and sweet potatoes were. We built them an enclosure in my back yard, complete with an American flag and strawberry hammock, and was able to safely release them back into the wild.
Beyond financial contributions, I also dedicate my time to animal rescues, recently becoming a foster mom for Fetching Tails Foundation and serving as a lead tour guide and farm hand at Cruzan Cowgirls for the past seven years. My love for animals and passion for their well-being is unwavering, and I’m always eager to lend a hand, whether it’s fostering or helping rehabilitate animals in need.
